Information For Librarians

We encourage research librarians to include Online Learning (OLJ) in their library’s electronic journal holdings.

  • Open Access & Rights – All OLJ content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY) license, allowing free reading, downloading, printing, sharing, and linking, with proper attribution to the author and journal.

  • No Subscription or Paywall – OLJ is free to access worldwide and does not charge subscription or article processing fees.

  • Preservation & Archiving – OLJ content is preserved in the LOCKSS system and the PKP Preservation Network, ensuring long-term access.

  • Indexing – OLJ is indexed in major databases, including Web of Science (ESCI) and Scopus, increasing discoverability for your faculty and students.

  • Metadata Availability – Complete metadata for all articles is available for library catalog integration and discovery layer inclusion.

  • Hosting Model – OLJ uses Open Journal Systems (OJS), a platform libraries can adopt to host journals for faculty or institutional publishing initiatives.

  • Community Connection – OLJ is supported by the Online Learning Consortium (OLC), a professional community that offers free individual memberships, professional development, and networking opportunities for librarians, faculty, and researchers.

By including OLJ in your library’s holdings and sharing it with faculty, you help expand access to high-quality scholarship in online and blended learning.
